IDT Baja Missions Base

IDT Baja's mission base is located in a little community outside of Vicente Guerrero. Dubbed simply "The Base", it is easily identified by its blue two-story school building, and matching bungalows surrounding the property.

The Base is the center of everyday activity. From school to groups, to daily ministry, to gathering together for Christian fellowship, there is rarely a time when the buildings are empty, the property quiet.

IDT Academy is a school designed especially for the children of IDT, who, far from home, can receive a K-12 education relevant to their home country. The school offers a library and resource center, available to all resident adults and children.

Groups come year-round to participate in ministry to the surrounding communities and peoples. The Base offers one of our two housing options. Dorm rooms, each housing eight, line the property. Groups are encouraged to fellowship around the fire pits for an evening campfire, or spend some free time in Santiago's, the recently built coffee and gift shop. Women from the village sell their handmade items in the shop as well, giving visitors the opportunity to purchase beautiful quality gifts, and helping to improve the lifestyle's of some of their Christian brothers and sisters.

A large kitchen and dining room, provide a convenient dining experience, and plenty of room for games and indoor fun.

Offices are located above the dining room, and in the front of the main building.

Church services at The Base take place every Thursday and Sunday night, when the missionaries and friends join together for much needed spiritual refreshment. This gathering together of the brethren is a cherished time, where one can refill and get strengthened after a week of pouring out love and care to others.
